About the Role
System Engineer – Networking role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructure, including Local LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, switches, and security systems. This is a global/APAC role where you will manage the network infrastructure across multiple regions. Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Implementation:

Together with the Infrastructure Architect, propose and define roadmap.

Design, deploy, and maintain Local LAN infrastructure (inc R&D labs), WAN, and SD-WAN solutions.

Implement advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
-
Configure and optimize Wi-Fi networks for performance and coverage.

Configure and manage enterprise switches, routers, and firewalls for seamless connectivity.

Experience in cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP) are a plus.

Knowledge of zero-trust security models or SASE frameworks.
Advanced Troubleshooting:

Resolve complex network issues (connectivity, latency, routing, security breaches) across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi.

Work closely with local teams to resolve active/passive network issues and ensure smooth operations.

Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
Security Management:

Configure and monitor firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) and security policies.

Implement and manage VPNs, ACLs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Wi-Fi Management:

Design and troubleshoot enterprise-grade Wi-Fi networks (e.g., Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Ubiquiti).

Conduct site surveys and optimize high-density environments.
Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, and security policies.

Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support.
Preferred Skills and Experience:

B.Tech./B.E/M.Tech in computer science or equivalent stream.

Desired Exp. Range 6+ years
Skills must have:

Advanced knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, QoS).

Expertise with network hardware (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto etc.).

Proficient in Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting (WLC controllers, access points).

Strong firewall and security management (IPsec, SSL VPNs, IDS/IPS).

Familiarity with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, NetFlow).
-
Scripting/automation skills (Python, Ansible) are a plus.
