Software Architect @ Barco NOIDA.

We are seeking highly accomplished Software Architect who can be part of the vGEAX Software group at Barco Noida. The person should preferably have prior experience as Software Architect in Software product organization as well experience in developing software products in agile methodology. He/she should have a great combination software design skills and technical communication skills.  Previously should have architected an Enterprise software Product or developed. The right candidate will be a Hands-on Developer, passionate about software and technology product development, excellent communicator, comfortable with ambiguous environments, and can move fast, bring people and technology together.

 

Responsibilities

As a Software architect, you will have following responsibilities:

  • Ownership of technical designs, code development, and component test execution to demonstrate alignment to the functional specification.
  • Using configuration management and integration/build automation tools to lead and deploy Angular, Node & Python code
  • Applying knowledge of common, relevant architecture frameworks in defining and evaluating application architectures.
  • Performing code reviews and providing critical suggestions for fixes and improvements
  • Supporting issue analysis and fix activities during test phases, as well as production issue resolution
  • You will work closely with developers and product owners to adopt architectural changes adapt to the emerging cloud requirements and technologies
  • Developing and demonstrating a broad set of technology skills in web app technologies, micro service design patterns, Open-Source libraries and frameworks, and technology architecture concepts.
  • Collaborating within a project team comprised of talented employees with diverse and complementary skills
  • You will collaborate with other System and Solution architects in the Barco Software group across different locations to define and gain adoption of clean, well-designed contracts and best practices across the entire product line and share those with internal stakeholders
  • You will also be involved in Supportability, Serviceability and deployability aspect of product
  • You will additionally also be involved in training and mentoring team members

Preferred Skills and Experience:

A successful candidate should have following skills:

  • A proven track record of successful project/product implementation with minimal of 8-9 years of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Pair programming and Test-Driven Development
  • Design overall architecture of the web application
  • Maintain quality and ensure the responsiveness of applications
  • Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features
  • Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python / Node/ JavaScript)
  • Proficiency in one or more frontend framework (HTML5 / Angular / React)
  • Database design and management, including being up on the latest practices and associated versions
  • Strong experience on Angular 13
  • Strong hands-on experience working with Git, Jenkins, Docker
  • Hands-on Test-Driven Development experience and able to author Unit, Integration and Functional Tests
  • Good OO-skills. Must demonstrate strong familiarity of design patterns
  • Experience practicing pair programming in a team is an advantage
  • Design and construction of REST API & It’s security 
  • Integrating our front-end UI with the constructed API
  • Good to have- Microservices architecture (MSA)
  • Proven ability to develop and ship high quality software products in Agile development environments

Qualifications

  • B.S/M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 9+ Yrs. of exp in UI role
  • Prior experience in developing and architecting on premise & cloud products across diverse technology stack on Python / Node/ JavaScript/ Angular
  • A proven track record of successful project/product implementation with minimal of 8-9 years of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Pair programming and Test-Driven Development
  • Must be familiar with containers technologies like:  Docker Containers, Chef Scripts and ideally have developed on any of the full stack technology stack-(Python / Node/ JavaScript- (HTML5 / Angular / React
  • Proven ability to develop and ship high quality software products in Agile development environments.
  • Should have high emotional quotient, self-driven and shows technology leadership in complex and ambiguous situations.
