About the Role 

IT Infrastructure – Server & Storage role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex Datacenter Infrastructure, including Dell/Cisco servers, Dell storage, Data domain, VMware and public cloud infrastructure. This is a Global/APAC role, where you will manage the Datacenter infrastructure across multiple regions. You will have access to the most up-to-date training, resources, and technology, as well as an unrestricted career path with the global leader in technology.  Role and Responsibilities:  

• You will be part of the Infrastructure & Operations team that is responsible for ensuring the availability of our IT systems 

• Follow up worldwide data centers, servers, storage, backup and disaster recovery, as well as performing disaster recovery testing and make sure the documentation is available for your peers 

• Participate in move to cloud and running/operating workloads in MS Azure 

• Participate in 24/7 on call rotation for L2/L3 support 

• Pro-active patching and securing of IT systems (Servers/storage) , based on: 

• Microsoft and Linux recommendations and Patch releases 

• Reports from Vulnerability scanning 

• Perform remediations steps for the Alerts from 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) and tooling (SIEM, Firewalls, Anti-Virus, Intrusion detection, etc) 

• Ensuring compliance of systems towards Barco standards. 

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

• 8+ years of experience as system support engineer in a Multi-national company 

• You are passionate about security and improving the general security posture of Barco 

• You work in a structured way and communicate results clearly 

• You are proactive, can work autonomously and have good problem-solving skills 

• Team player who is used to working in global teams and who is also able to work independently on assigned tasks/projects 

• Persistence in resolving issues with focus on details. 

Desired technological skills: 

Must have: 

• Advanced knowledge of the following: 

• Knowledge of backup systems (Data domain), storage arrays, storage networks, converged infrastructure and VMWare infrastructures 

• Operating systems: Mainly Microsoft Windows Servers and Linux systems 

• Running and deploying workloads in MS Azure, VMware 

• Scripting knowledge: eg: Powershell, Python, Terraform 

• Basic knowledge of broad IT infrastructure devices and techniques : 

• Network devices and configuration 

• IT security: Malware, Threats, Vulnerability 

• Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Multi-Factor Authentication, O365, Microsoft SQL. 

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken language. 

Education: 

• B.Tech./B.E/M.Tech / MCA in computer science or equivalent stream. 

• Desired Exp. Range 8+ years
