The Commercial Operations Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the Sales team.  Not in an entry-level administrative focused position only, but establishes a partnership relation with each member of the Sales team to maximize accurate orders, achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and ultimately be a strong contributor to the achievement of the department and company sales volume goals.

 

Responsibilities 

  1. Responsible for the order acquisition and fulfilment process, pre and after sales support activities and related administration.
  2. Represents the customer in the Barco internal organization, and translates its requirements (on deliverables and timings) into tangible process parameters.
  3. Follow-up on shipment & delivery of goods
  4. Corrects and timely invoicing
  5. Communicates, organizes and proper follows up of contractual required documents like COO, L/C’s, Bank guarantees etc.
  6. Works as the main liaison between our external sales team & customers and different internal departments.
  7. Together with the finance department, Commercial Operation Coordinator follow-up on accounts receivable and if necessary, you take the necessary actions to solve payment issues;
  8. Works closely with internal & external vendor on correct and timely shipments & delivery of goods.
  9. In close contact with following departments in order to solve customer requests: Service,Warehousing,Traffic,Planning,Project Management,Sales,Finance
  10. Performs pre-sales activities such as small quotations, according to the price list and discount list., credit check with finance, availability check with supply chain.
  11. Supports the Sales Manager in DAR execution. Sales Manager stays in the lead.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent through experience.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in sales or customer service environment
  3. Can work independently and have the necessary maturity, skills and commercial feeling to communicate with costumers and other (internal) stakeholders.
  4. Have excellent organization skills supported by a good technical basis and product knowledge.
  5. Excellent computer proficiency including the “Microsoft Office package” and SAP ERP systems.
  6. Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is an important asset, depending on the regional requirements.
  7. Strong commitment to company and the ability to work in a team and sales driven environment.
  8. Supportive attitude to the sales & service team, to assist in the acquisition and maintenance of new and existing customers.
