The mission of Business Development is to develop the market:

  • Prospect, identify and develop new sales opportunities with large system integrators (LSI's) in SEAT and local partners in Singapore.
  • Build a network, develop & maintain strong working relationships with large system integrators and end users in order to detect and influence the opportunities at an early stage.
  • Act as SPOC for the large system integrators and key end-customer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage processes for creating quotes, managing sales cycle in CRM, developing and negotiating proposals, commercial agreements and following up closely on the after-sales activities, like shipment and project execution with the relevant internal and external parties. Likewise, track business opportunities and performance of the sales funnel in addition to providing regular forecasting, market intelligence and competitive analysis to Sales Management, segment marketing and product management.
  2. Maximize opportunity conversion rate by supporting large system integrators through the different sales stages, with both commercial and technical advice. Translate the customer needs into Barco winning solutions and offerings.
  3. Work closely together with different teams within the organization like pre-sales, product management, technical experts, project management office and local service team in addition to working on multiple projects simultaneously and in an international environment.
  4. Provide guidance to field marketing on best possibilities to reach the communities.
  5. Participate in regular training from Barco HQ and assist and participate in trade shows and events within the region.
  6. Responsible for growing Barco sales and funnel in the SEAT, either by increasing our sales within managed large system integrators and end-user accounts or by end-customer acquisition.
  7. Support Barco new product launch by evangelizing the solution to the managed large system integrator and key end-user accounts.
  8. Establish contact and secure demo opportunities with large system integrators.
  9. Follow up on leads generated by Barco campaigns in Singapore.
  10. Analyze the customers needs and provide the appropriate value proposition in return.
  11. Identify showstoppers to potential opportunities and report back to management for additional support from product team.
  12. Report on weekly visits and funnel management; Keep up-to-date records in the company's CRM system.
  13. Monitor technology and market factors and provide market intelligence to Sales management, Segment marketing and Product management.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor or Master degree (business, marketing, engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Experience:

  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience in related industry/technology.
  • Having IT (networking) and/or project management background will add value.

 

People management:

  • Strong and assured communicating and presenting skills.
  • Collaboration skills as there is a clear interaction needed between the different teams for certain projects.

 

Result management:

  • Documentation skills.
  • Hunting skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • High level sales negotiating skills with outstanding relationship building abilities.
  • Be bottom-line oriented, budget-conscious and metric/measurement driven.
