Business Development Manager Nordics

The mission of the Business Development Manager is to develop existing managed accounts and develop new prospect accounts through approaching key End user (Fortune 1000 companies). As a Business Development Manager, you will represent the full Barco portfolio with particular focus within our Collaboration (ClickShare). The position will report into the Regional Sales Director for Nordics.    

 

Key Responsibilities  

 

  • The Business development manager will be responsible for growing ClickShare sales revenues and funnel, by actively targeting large enterprise within key focused vertical sectors
  • You need to define the best end user approach for the territory in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director for Nordics
  • You are required to identify new opportunities for LED/ LCD/ Projection/ IP within your account list, transferring these opportunities internally to the relevant Barco specialist.
  • The role will encompass New business development, through pro-actively targeting prospect accounts and presenting Barco’s technology, securing proof of concept, engaging in technical discussions to bring opportunities to a sale closure.
  • You will also be provided with a list of existing managed accounts, with KPI’s on developing Barco’s share of wallet within these accounts and across the accounts subsidiaries.
  • You will need to be a competent communicator, able to interact with multiple stakeholders within the account (Procurement/ Project Management/ Facility Management/ IT + AV Managers/ Prescriber’s and C level)
  • You will follow up on Collaboration/ Workplace end user leads generated by Barco campaigns
  • You maximize existing deployments across all local affiliates of an existing end customer and enable extensions in other affiliates as part of your European role.
  • You create strong interlinks with your local team members from Channel/ BDM/ Consultant, plus work with colleagues from across other global territories to maximise sales revenues within your focus account list.
  • You will build strong internal relationships with functional leaders in Belgium HQ to ensure harmonious working relationships
  • You monitor technology and market factors and provide market intelligence back to sales management/ segment marketing and product management
  • You will need to identify showstoppers to potential opportunities and report back to your Regional Sales Director and Service Management team for additional support.
  • You will be required to provide weekly reporting on your activities and manage your funnel through the Barco CRM system. Feedback will on your funnel for forecasting purposes will be required to local Channel Account Manager & Regional Sales Director on a bi-weekly basis. 


Your Profile

 

  • A degree or minimum 5 years proven sales experience in related industry/ technology
  • A proven track record in solution selling to end customers, an established end customer network within the FTSE 100
  • A good understanding of IT/UCC/ AV Technologies, preferably within Corporate meeting room technologies such as wireless collaboration systems
  • A self-starter and prepared to hunt for business. 
  • Enthusiastic and self-assured communicator, able to gain credibility with end customers and create long standing relationships
  • Highly skilled sales negotiator, able to engage at a commercial level with stake holders from the end customer and channel.
  • Implements a structured approach to time management, ensuring efficient use of resources and travel time when communicating/ visiting customers
  • You will be expected to be visiting customers with travel across Nordics, plus some international travel required.
