Senior C++ Software Design Engineer

As an integral part of Barco Healthcare R&D team, we are the world-class healthcare R&D team dedicated to serve the rapidly growing China market.  Barco Healthcare China is expanding R&D team and we are hiring software talent with medical display industry knowledge & product development experience and good English communication skill. The Senior Software Design Engineer will collabrate with a cross-functional and international program team to deliver medical display and computer products for the China market. This position will mainly focus on the embeded software and display calibration software design of various types of display/product under Barco product development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software of Pre-NPI prototypes and NPI products. 
• Develop driver packages and calibration program.
• Follow product development process and deliver high quality software and related documents, for example, software design document, lessons learned etc.
• Conduct customer/quality issues troubleshooting and propose solutions.
• Propose and execute validation testing when needed.
• Support on production line set-up, auto test activities, customer site test etc.
• Close collaboration between teams worldwide for healthcare business, conduct as software interface for cross functional team inner or outside of Barco.
• Other tasks assigned by the R&D leader.

Qualification

• 8+ years of experience in related field for Bachelor Degree or 5+ years of experience in related field for Master Degree, prefer major in Computer Software Engineering or equivalent

Competencies

• Minimum 5-year experiences in medical display software design and have good knowledge of medical display. Experience on Realtech/MTK/Mstar’s scaler is a plus.
• Expert on embedded software design. Excellent skill of programming languages C/C++. Familiar with Linux system.
• Experience on shell, python is plus.
• Knowledge with video processing and OS. Such as FFMPEG, Android is a plus.
• Experience of collaborating with global team on complex product development and familiar with new product development process.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good English skill in both writing and speaking.
• Proactive, Self-starter, energizing, results oriented and able to multi-tasking.
• Good communication skills.
