IT Operations Engineer

Function -  IT Operations Engineer/ System Engineer

Role and Responsibilities: 

Within the the Software.IT (SW.IT) organisation, you will be a member of  the China/Global IT Infrastructure & Operations team that ensures the Operations and security of our IT systems, more specifically within the China region you will be responsible for:

• Technical scope:
  • Together with the Regional IT teams, maintain IT infrastructure in the China region:
    • IT Service Delivery – end user PC & mobile device support
    • Ensuring that IT infrastructure is well maintained and secure
      • Networking, servers, storage, backup & AV equipments
      • Assist & manage technical requirements of Production, R&D labs, factory including but not limited to VLANs, network Ports, DNS, DHCP, VMs & storage.
      • Understand & support third party vendors solutions in the factory
  • Rollout of projects in close collaboration with the global Infrastructure & Operations team
  • Extend support to IT Security Operations team in managing vulnerabilities, patching, security incidents and compliance.
• Coordination scope
  • Technical Infrastructure & Operations IT representation for all sites in region
  • Regional IT budget planning and follow-up
  • Vendor management
    • Contacts with local vendors
    • Contract negotiations in close collaboration with Procurement department
  • Coordinate Site moves (incl. Greenfields), mergers, modifications, acquisition and divestitures for sites in the region
  • Coordinate with the region’s Infrastructure and Service Delivery team

Skills and Experience:

• >5 years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, IT Infrastructure Architect and/or IT Team lead
• Excellent communication skills in English

Education

• Master degree in IT or engineering
