Manager Traffic (Import & Export)

He/She owns the import & export process and compliance for China production base. He/She manages the delievry process of raw materials as well as finished goods from suppliers to customers, in order to assure On Time Delivery and overall cost targets. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Customs clearance management for import and export goods, to ensure goods pass customs in a timely manner and with correct HS code. 
• Reduce the import duties by applying all relevant laws and customs possibilities.
• Apply for international trade funding support from local government. 
• Product certification management for China production base, especially for CCC.
• Maintain good relationship with China Customs and the Bureau of Commerce.
• Transportation management including international and domestic shipments, conduct Global RFQs for all modes of transport to secure the best service & price.
• Work closely with Barco Corporate to develop and execute best-in-class strategies for international transportation. 
• Advise and enforce sales of using optimal shipping methods and handle quotation inquries for special shipments and projects. 
• To ensure that all dispatch logistics are done in the most efficient way. 
• Develop & coach team members to achieve the targets and ensure they work towards an agreed budget.  
• Other tasks assigned by the reporting manager.

Education:

• B.S. degree or above in Import & Export management or Supply Chain Management or relevant field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years proven experiences in customs/logistics operations.
• Strong experiences on ERP and S&OP business process experience.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in a multinational working environment.

Competencies:

• Knowhow of import and export business operation.
• Good knowledge of warehousing system & suppliers, proper methods of storing equipment & material.
• Ability to make analytic decisions efficiently.
• Financial skills, good at managing working capital.
• Excellent on negotiation, mediation and communications, with high level of integrity.
• Understanding of MNC operations, good at handling issues with various stakeholders and global cooperations.
