As the core of the supply chain and operations, this role is responsible for translating the division's business strategy and customers’ demands into feasible and efficient material & production plans and the related procurement activities with detailed schedules. He/she is responsible for optimizing production capacity, resources, and material availability to assure the OTIF delivery to customers with higher equipment utilization.
This role will assist supply chain manager in driving global central procurement to meet material demands for Barco world-wide. He/she will participate in daily procurement activities of critical components including handling the entire purchasing order life cycle, tracking deliveries and escalating exceptions. Assit supply chain manager to manage and coordinate critical components issues and track progress.
This role will also support supply chain manager to define effective control for inventory levels and the related costs in line with S&OP plan by Division. He/she is the key bridge connecting the sales, supply chain, production, and business units.
Key responsibilities:
- Development and management of the main production plan. Integrate sales forecasts, customer orders, inventory strategies, and financial goals to form a consensus supply and demand plan to get alignment with division supply chain.
- Inventory Strategy and Optimization. Cooperate with supply chain manager to develop and maintain safety stock and inventory target levels to manufactured items and raw material, participate in inventory optimization strategies.
- Production execution monitoring and coordination. Monitor the progress of production orders, compare planned and actual outputs, and analyze the reasons for differences. Quickly respond to unexpected issues, adjust plans in a timely manner, and coordinate with relevant departments. As the main communication hub between supply chain, production, sales, and other departments, ensuring smooth information flow and coordinated actions done.
- Data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement. Track key performance indicators such as plan achievement rate, on-time delivery rate, inventory turnover rate, etc., and regularly prepare management reports. Thoroughly analyze deviations between planning and execution. To drive improvement projects for processes, systems, or data. Participate in and promote the optimization of ERP systems and enhance the automation and intelligence level of planning work.
- Procurement. Translate the demand for purchasing goods into a supply and inventory plan. Based on the planning requirements, issue, track, and confirm purchase orders with realistic delivery commitment for the category responsible based on MRP rollout. Manage suppliers’ performance and daily issues. Collect potential risks of supply and make timely escalation. In case of anomalies such as inferior quality, late confirmations, overdue deliveries and payment issues, act as the Barco representative towards the supplier in solving those issues.

Qualification & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Good communication skill in both Chinese & English.
- Minimum 5 years related work experience as senior buyer and master planning roles in manufacturing enterprises.
- Proficient in ERP systems (such as SAP PP/MM modules, Oracle Manufacturing, etc. and advanced planning and scheduling concepts).
- Excellent data analysis skills, proficient in using Excel (such as pivot tables, advanced functions), Power BI and other data analysis tools.
