Audio Engineer - Conferencing Audio and Acoustics

We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer with a strong background in acoustics and extensive expertise in audio processing for meeting rooms and video conferencing.

In this role, you will contribute to delivering exceptional audio quality for next-generation collaboration solutions used by customers worldwide. You should be proficient in industry-standard tools and workflows and capable of applying PythonMATLAB, or similar for audio analysis, automation, and system optimization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct acoustic measurements and audio algorithm assessment for all-in-one video conferencing solutions.
  • Collaborate with hardware team and external partners to ensure high quality audio pickup and reproduction for video conferencing products. 
  • Think ahead, provide ideas and do feasibility studies for next-level audio features in videoconferencing.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts or tools in Python, MATLAB or alike for signal processing, measurement automation, and data visualization. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments and research in speech processing for videoconferencing. 

 

Your Profile

  • Degree in Acoustics, Audio Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in audio engineering or acoustic consulting. 
  • Deep understanding of room acoustics and speech processing for microphones and loudspeakers.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming for audio applications using Python or MATLAB.
  • Hands-on experience with perceptual audio assessment systems (e.g. Head Acoustics ACQUA).

 

Skills

  • Experience with device audio / video certification for industry standard meeting room solutions (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, ...).
  • Knowledge of psychoacoustics and perceptual audio evaluation for speech processing in videoconferencing.
  • Experience with AI based speech processing and audio enhancement algorithms.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across creative and technical teams. 
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail. 
  • Passion for speech processing and related sound technologies.
