Barco is looking for a passionate and experienced QA Engineer to help shape the future of healthcare technology. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance, especially within the context of QAWeb Enterprise, our leading platform for medical device and quality assurance management.

 

You’ll be responsible for validating new developments, identifying potential issues, and embedding quality throughout the development lifecycle. Beyond hands-on QA tasks, you’ll also foster a QA community of practice, promoting best practices and continuous improvement across teams.

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Design, document, and implement robust QA processes, including tools for automated testing and continuous integration.
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and exploratory testing to ensure product quality and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts based on product specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to identify, document, and resolve bugs and inconsistencies.
  • Align testing efforts with customer expectations and simulate real-world user scenarios to validate usability and reliability.
  • Mentor team members in QA methodologies and create platforms for knowledge sharing and quality improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally and deliver clear QA reports, metrics, and documentation to stakeholders.

 

Your profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, ideally within healthcare or regulated industries.
  • Proficiency with QA tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, and experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., DICOM) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable to a fast-paced, complex environment.
