About the role

Product Owner will operate in a team of Product Owners who collectively own the delivery of a system. In this group (s)he will be responsible for delivering market scope, based on input by Product Management, and fully owning system scope, based on input by various stakeholders. For this purpose, the PO will own the backlogs of multiple teams, spread across different locations and cooperate with other teams, whose backlogs are owned by the other POs in the team. All POs report to the System PO, who's the hiring manager. The POs own the scope, quality and time, but for cost (people and infrastructure) interface with the team leads.

Prior experience should be either classical project management in complex organizations, or agile practices in reduced organizations, ideally understanding both the flexible nature of software development and the more rigid nature hardware development. Commonly known practices like refinement, slicing, POC/prototype/alpha/beta delivery, apply, but the PO must continuously check outside the box of their team and scope.

An important aspect of the job is supplier management and internal/external dependency management.

Knowledge of embedded and/or application development on Android is a bonus. Experience in the audio-video world or meeting room domain likewise.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized and continuously refined.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure clear understanding of requirements and timely delivery of features.
• Closely collaborate with all different functions (Product Management, User Experience, Team Leads, Architects, ...) to identify problems and define solutions.

Skills and experience

We are looking for a new colleague who:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product or project management.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
• Familiarity with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Certification as a Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar is a plus.
• Knowledge of double diamond is a plus.
• Experience with large scale scrum environments (SAFe/LeSS, multiple scrum teams, multiple product owners, …) is a plus.
• Can converse and write well in business English.
• Proficient in Mandarin is a must.
• Is able and willing to travel when necessary.
