We are looking for a motivated Security Engineer Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about secure software development practices and gain hands-on experience with security features in embedded systems and Android frameworks. You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to building secure, high-performance meeting room solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing basic security features under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support code reviews by learning how to identify common security issues.
- Participate in threat modeling sessions and learn how potential risks are assessed.
- Help document security guidelines and best practices for development teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how security integrates into the product lifecycle.
- Research emerging security technologies and summarize findings for the team.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with concepts like secure coding practices, encryption, and authentication (coursework or self-study is acceptable).
- Interest in embedded systems and Android development.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to work part-time during the semester or full-time during breaks.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Android system architecture or embedded systems through projects or coursework.
- Knowledge of security fundamentals such as secure boot or secure storage.
- Participation in security-related competitions, hackathons, or open-source projects.
