Software R&D Lead

We are seeking an experienced Software R&D Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for software design and development. You will also be leading a group of software engineers focused on Android embedded software development. Strong technical and people management skills are essential for this position. Your contributions will directly impact the creation of high-performance, reliable, and innovative meeting room solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate user stories and requirements into practical implementations that align with our software architecture.
• Develop and optimize software for performance, power efficiency, and reliability in resource-constrained environments.
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security.
• Be accountable for the performance of the R&D team.
• Support software developers by helping them set personal objectives, providing constructive feedback, and removing roadblocks.
• Oversee the short- and long-term career development of software developers.
• Work closely with product managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Drive innovation by researching new technologies and methodologies to continuously improve our software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing software engineers for a minimum of 3 years.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, or Kotlin programming.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development on the Android platform/framework.
• Ability to work independently in a global organization with tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Knowledge and experience in security are a big plus.
